Fiona Crawford is a freelance writer, editor, and social media strategist whose work spans social and environmental issues, the arts, and football.

Fiona has written for such publications, clients, and websites as The Big Issue, Peppermint, Kill Your Darlings, Bookseller+Publisher, Writing Queensland, the Matildas and the W-League, FourFourTwo, The Conversation, and the Homeless World Cup.

Her PhD thesis, Augmenting Author–Activism: An Examination of How a Continuing Primary Text and Digital Media Inform Contemporary Non-Fiction Author–Activism, explored how author–activists can use transmedia activism to drive social change.

Her co-authored book, Never Say Die; The Hundred-Year Overnight Success of Australian Women’s Football, will be published in November 2019.
